Olivia and Parker’s love story began in Oxford, Ohio, at Miami University, where they met in August 2019. Living in neighboring college houses, their friend groups quickly merged and before long, so did their lives. What started as a friendship soon grew into something more, and they officially began dating in January 2020.

In May 2021, Olivia and Parker graduated from Miami University and celebrated with a memorable weekend that brought the Hicks and Hess families together for the first time. After graduation, the two moved to Chicago to begin their careers and stay close to one another, living just minutes apart and making the most of life in a new city together.

Now, Olivia and Parker call Old Town home. Over the past six years, they’ve truly grown up together spending their time exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and traveling whenever they can.

In August 2025, Parker proposed to Olivia on the South Pond Bridge in Lincoln Park, just steps from his first Chicago apartment, where many special memories were made during their early years after graduation. The celebration continued at Navy Pier, where family and close friends were waiting to surprise them with love and excitement.

The countdown is officially on for August 29, 2026. Olivia and Parker are beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people who have supported them through every phase of life. They couldn’t imagine a more meaningful place to do so than Northern Michigan, a place close to their hearts and filled with countless cherished memories.
